From my diary, May 2002

I have been transcribing some of my old journals today and came upon the following entry, which I think is a fairly interesting one as I generally write journal entries as a means of keeping a record of my exploits.  Make what you will of them, as I have no real reason for posting them other than the fact that they fill space.

May 2002

A man of a thousand virtues

Is undone by a single vice

*

An insult is consolation

Against insecurity

*

God exists as consolation for the fact that we

Cannot console ourselves with empirical evidence

*

A man of a thousand vices

Is redeemed by a single virtue

*

Without the world and time and the universe, there can be

No jello

*

Life can be as grand as the epic

As sad as an elegy

As brief as a haiku
