| As predicted, Wladimir Klitschko retained his heavyweight championship in Cologne on Saturday via a 6th Round stoppage after Brewster’s corner had seen enough. Klitschko had repeatedly landed a stiff jab, which kept Brewster off-balance, while unloading other weapons in his arsenal. As the sixth round came to a close, it was clear that the bout had become nothing more than target practice for the towering Ukranian. At no point in the fight did Brewster mount a credible offense, which is what led Brewster’s trainer to call it quits. With the win, Klitschko avenges a defeat from three years ago and also positions himself for a potential unification bout later in the year. |
